Missing Olivia like mad and really looking forward to her coming home tomorrow - I received a letter from her on Wednesday and all seems to be going ok.
In the meantime I have been trying to keep busy making and putting together of few of these little limited edition London Mummy Cooking Kits.
I have to be in the right mood but I do rather enjoy making up the aprons - I always make matching fabric ties, little covered buttons & buttonholes to make the neck straps adjustable - I like to think that they will fit their new owners for a good few years :)
I do vary the contents from time to time. Sometimes it will be cookie cutters and rolling pin etc and at other times I will use the little mini muffin tins with cute little paper cases but always include the cute little sweetie soaps to wash hands with first!
The difficult part is sourcing the little retro paperboard suitcases - I really love these plain pastel ones which were originally part of a mixed set from Letterbox. Theses were perfect but am down to my very last few now - knew I should have bought many more sets originally. The Petit Jour suitcases are just not quite the right colours for me but I really don't want to order a huge batch of 500 from China either! If anyone knows of any small scale suppliers do please let me know :)
I have had lots of lovely new fabrics arrive this week:
I'm loving the retro colours and styling on these American Jane fabrics from Moda - these will probably be made into pencil rolls and book bags to go with the Rosie Flo Colouring Books:
Or maybe something to go with these:
I shall just have to see what gets made ........
