First up, thanks to all who have left comments so far for the Rosie Flo's Night-time Colouring Book draw . Hmm it seems that I am not alone when it comes to enjoying a little bit of therapuetic colouring, but I still maintain mine is purely for products testing, of course! Don't forget the draw is open until next Monday, the 1st of October so just leave a comment on that post for a chance to win.
As I have mentioned before, this coming Saturday sees me, along with several others, in Barnes at the Autumn Art & Design Fair. I'm really looking forward to this event as it will be great to meet some other, local creatives plus I really do enjoy face to face interaction with my customers - such a fab way to get feedback.
The fun part too is deciding what to actually take, there is no way I could bring all my gift company range as space will be somewhat limited but I really rather like planning my display etc. Actually that reminds me, I need to construct some more of my cardboard display boxes as one or two are looking a bit battered now! When doing shows like this you need to have something which will give height to your display, is fairly light and easily transportable and my Blue Peter inspired boxes have served me well in the past :)
Anyway today I have been mostly making some more of these:
Some of my little dolls bed quilt sets - sorry about the awful photo, couldn't seem to get the light (along with so many other things) right today.
The main fabric is, a now sadly discontinued, print by Alexander Henry for the Sage Glen Kids collection called Paper Dolls. I really love this print as it reminds me of the little cardboard cutout dolls and clothes we used to play with as a child, not that they lasted particularly long in our house with five brothers in residence .....
The backing is a soft, pink babycord which I also used to trim the little pillow as I seem to have run out of the lovely pink satin ribbon I normally use - any ideas where that could be Olivia .......?
Anyway there will be more of these, hopefully to take on Saturday plus a couple of these:
If, I can squeeze some more hours into the day somehow as I have a couple more fabric houses to finish off first and need to organize Livvy as she is away for the weekend on yet another PGL trip!
I also took delivery yesterday of some new book stock including this one:
and this one:
oh and this one:
So I think I may well take a couple of copies of each with me too.
I'll share some more photos from inside these books with you next week, the Easy Baby Knits has some gorgeous looking projects but sadly as a non-knitter all I can do is admire from afar. Melissa and Mette have both been inspiring me to take up knitting with their own gorgeous baby knits recently but me thinks that is not going to happen anytime before the end of this year.
Right, that's me off as I have a whole heap of clearing up to do before we settle down to watch The Restaurant with a large glass of wine. I'm betting Emma & Martin get the chop this week - anyone else been watching it?
